Digiears is bringing a few toys to shoot. The weapons he's totin' are Mosin-Nagant 9/30(top), an SKS(Middle), which uses 7.62x39 ammo, and a CZ-52 pistol(Bottom). Wanna fire the rifle that saved Stalingrad, pop off a few rounds with the Nagant. Digiears is brining some ammo for it, I don't think Wally-mart is going to carry it. The SKS uses ammo that you can get at Bass Pro Shops, and possibly Walmart. The CZ needs 7.62x25 ammo. Hell if I know where to get that at. Below is a picture of Digiears shooting the Nagant.
If you wanna find him, he's the guy serving up the coffee on the ninth floor. Tip him well, and come shoot with him at the range. Or else. :)

He'll be bringing the Kimber TLE II 1911 .45acp, .32cal Keltec, .308 Browning Lever Action BLR, and possibly some more. Pictures to come soon. The Kimber is a pleasure to shoot, with a modified trigger. Get him to show you how well it's been customized. Sweet!Thursday, October 4, 2007, 12:56 PM
He'll be bringing the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Lee-Enfield .303 No 4 Mark 3, Glock Model 22, and Ruger Mark 2. Pictures are soon to follow. If you've never shot a M1 Garand, you need to fire off a shot or two. It's a piece of history, and it gives you perspective on how 'cushy' we have it nowadays with rubber cushions!Thursday, October 4, 2007, 11:59 AM

It's not real, but it looks DAMN cool. You have to see it to believe it, but it's a P22, which shoots 22 caliber rounds, and has that feel of being a 'cleaner'. Ask him nicely, maybe he'll let you 'clean' a few targets. :)

Ladymerlin will be bringing a Walther P22, which is a smaller version of the Walther P99. It fires .22 caliber rounds, copper jacketed if you please. If you are concerned that a .40 caliber or a 9MM will have too much kick, you're welcome to try this little beauty. It has almost no kick to speak of, and it's comfortable in your hand. Below is a picture of the weapon, and by comparison, a pic of it lying on top of the Walther P99.

SomeNinjaMaster has offered to bring part of his arsenal, and allow others to shoot. He'll be bringing a Smith and Wesson MP-15T, which uses .223 rifle rounds. These aren't cheap, but they are a blast to shoot. Here's a picture of the gun.
Also, he'll have a Beretta 92FS, which is also a nice weapon to shoot. It's comfortable, and personally what I first learned to handle a gun with. It requires 9MM rounds, which you should buy copper jacketed ammo since it's cheaper and used for target practice. Here's a pic of it.

And last, but not least, the Sig 229. It's a .40 caliber weapon, with a fair amount of punch. The rounds for this weapon are more expensive, but worth the $$$ if you've not shot one before. Make sure you get .40 caliber, and not .45, there is a difference. Here's the gun...

Catch up to him and make sure he knows you wanna shoot his guns, so that we can make sure there's going to be time for everyone.
Here's his ugly mug, so that you can spot him in a crowd...

Hi, I'm SkyDog. I am the one heading up the G33k shoot. I will be bringing a Walther P99 9MM handgun to the shoot. Here's a picture of it...
Generally, I shoot copper-jacketed 9MM rounds made by Winchester. They are decently priced, and they don't seem to hang up in the chamber like alot of cheap ammo does. If you'd like to shoot it, pickup a box of 50 or 100, and chat with me about it. Each clip holds 10 rounds, and it doesn't take long to go thru 50 or 100 rounds.
I'll be posting the other guns that people will be bringing that will be available to shoot, so keep checking.

Who's ready to go shoot something? Traditionally, on the Sunday morning after the con, we drag our asses out of bed, pack everything up, load up the vehicles and head out to the Dead Dog Brunch. It's an opportunity to grab a bite and get that last 'hang-out' with everyone there. Afterwards, we head out to the TWRA Range off Hobson Pike, and spend a few hours shooting our various handguns and rifles. In years past, there has been anything from a .22 handgun to a .50 caliber Desert Eagle. It's truly a fun time, and anyone that wants to attend can do so, regardless of whether you own a firearm, or have a carry permit. Below is some information regarding the shoot.- If you don't have a firearm, but would like to shoot, you'll need to find someone that is going to the shoot, and ask them if you can buy some ammo and shoot their firearm. This is dependent on the person, and what they shoot. Some people are not comfortable handing over their firearm, which is understandable.
- The directions to reach the range are Here. This is from the hotel to the Range, but does not include the Dead Dog Brunch location. Typically, we decide that the morning of.
- What's the cost? It's $5.50 at last check for a two hour pass. You will need ear protection and eye protection. Usually we have a handfull of the squishy earplugs on hand, but the glasses can be rented cheaply from the range. 50 rounds of 9MM ammo is less than $10, but due to rising copper prices, it's not the cheapest hobby lately. Your mileage may vary.
- Where do I get ammo in Nashville? Not far from the range is a Walmart that carries most ammo sizes. If enough people need to get ammo, we can make a stop there to pick up what is needed. Let us know ahead of time, so that we can accommodate you.
- What if I have never shot a gun before? Let us know, and one of the more experienced people will help orient you to shooting a gun. Proper stance and technique can make all of the difference.
- What should I do about storing my firearm in the hotel? This has always been a sticky situation. If you are a responsible firearm owner, you will know that you need to secure your firearm in your room either in your safe, or a secure place. If you consume alcohol, or have a roommate that has consumed alcohol, you should NOT handle your firearm, or remove it from it's safe location. No firearms are allowed to be carried in the hotel while alcohol is being consumed, regardless of a carry permit. Please respect this rule. It eliminates the possibility of someone getting hurt from someone getting squirrelly and pulling your weapon off your person.
- I have a carry permit, and I feel it's my right to carry it in the hotel, regardless of your rules. What do you think of that? Well, screw you buddy. We're asking nicely. If we spot you carrying your firearm, you will be asked to return it to your room. If you do not, and we spot you consuming alcohol, we will be forced, for the safety of others, to contact the Metropolitan Police Department and have it removed for you. We're not trying to be jerks, we're trying to have everyone be safe and coexist. Thanks.
